SUNDAY MORNING BIBLE STUDY

Every Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. the youth meet in their wing of the building located on the second floor to study the word of God. All the youth begin together for a time of devotion and then break out into smaller groups to study the Bible.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT ACTIVITES DURING THE SCHOOL YEAR

Wednesday Night Activities occur every Wednesday that Louisa County Public Schools hold classes and takes the form of three separate segments outlined below. The youth may to come to one part or all three, however it is best if the youth particpate in all three unless there is conflict.

  • “HOT” HANG OUT TIME
The youth are picked up by the church buses and return to the church or to a community service project for two hours. HOT is a privelege for the youth and is designed as a safe place for youth to hang out, have fun, and fellowship. Depending on the weather, the youth may play outdoor sports, indoor games, watch a movie, play video games, or perform a community service project.
  • DINNER
The dinners are on a seven week rotation and range from BBQ to Tacos, to Spaghetti and occur from 5:45 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. The cost is $3.50.
  • BIBLE STUDY
This is the time the youth become more serious and dive into the word of the Lord from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT ACTIVITIES DURING THE SUMMER

The event is called Family Volleyball Night and begins at 7:00 p.m. and ends at 8:00 p.m. at the Louisa Baptist Ministry Center located two doors down from the church building. This activity is not held every Wednesday, so contact the church office before attending at 967-1364.

BOYS and GIRLS GROUPS

Meet the last Sunday of the month for lunch and a program. Any boy or girl in the 7th to 12th grade is welcome to attend. For more information contact Laura Nelson or Wally Bopp.

PASSPORT

The youth look forward to traveling to a college campus for about a week to meet with other churches and perform mission projects during the summer.

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL

VBS is held in the evening, begining on a Sunday and ending on a Thursday. Every evening begins with a delicous meal prepared by members of the church. The first four nights are spent in Bible study. The last night has become tradition to have a picnic filled with fellowship and praise music, followed by a program highlighting what was learned during the week.

CAKE AUCTION

The Cake Auction is looked forward to not only by the youth, but the church members usually during March. The youth and other members of the church bake cakes and pies, make handmade crafts or paintings to auction. The proceeds of the auction support the youth who are planning to attend PASSPORT in the summer. Before dinner the church body enjoys a hot bowl soup or chili. A great time is had by all, thanks to the Col. Bill Billingsley, our famous auctioneer.

CHRISTIAN CONCERTS

A fun time is had when christian artist are in concert in the surrounding area. The day begins with “tailgating” before the concert and ends with praise songs be blasted through the speakers at John Paul Jones Arena.

INVOLVEMENT

The youth of LBC have very big hearts. They participate in most anything they are asked to do. Many of the youth work at Trunk of Treats, put on a Biblical skit for the children at Easter, participate in the Christmas play and the weekly Praise band, help take up offering, serve dinner at the Deacon’s dinner, participate in IMPACT VA when it is held in Louisa, and the list goes on and on.
